Job Title: Regional Trade Finance Manager -GAP 'GAP Greater Asia Pacific - Asia Less China'
Must Haves:
- Min 8 years of experience in the banking or financing industries in lending and international trade settlement
- Frequent travelling to meet bankers, dealers and customers within the region
- Ready to travel at short notice
Basic Purpose and Function:
- Create, engineer and implement partnership with financial institutions to facilitate the financing of our (direct or indirect) sales of company's products including Cranes and Foodservice Equipment to Dealers, Rental companies and End-users.
- Manage the Manitowoc Finance program in the region by working with existing financing partner and / or other available 3rd party banks or financial institutions.
- Manage the procedures for credit control including credit limit administration, compliance of credit limit and terms of sales, performance of sale agreement, and order credit administration matters.
- Managing and corporate reporting of the total exposure of Company in Greater Asia Pacific in terms of timely collection of Trade Debtors, management of overdue Trade Debtors, Buyback guarantee/Recourse, Corporate Guarantee from Head Office, and the exposure under the company's finance
Communication:
Internally:
- Sales Department (Sales Administration) to understand the financing needs of the dealers and end-users.
- Crane CARE / Service support Department to better understand the issues pertaining to management of collection of Trade Debtor.
- Financial Controller and various Accounts Departments on issues pertaining to sales recognition policy and collection issues.
- Supervise the Credit Manager on a daily basis on Credit Control matters.
- Internal legal council on any legal matters;
- Global Trade Finance team spanning various regions
Externally:
- Contact with external credit insurance agencies to mitigate the underlying credit risks of Trade Debtors;
- Contact with 3rd party banks and financing institutions with the purpose of understanding their credit approval process and assisting them with issues related to Residual Value management of company's products financed by them;
- Meet customers of all products jointly with the sales team,
- Participate in Trade Show and dealers conference to cross sell company's Finance
Supervision:
- On going supervision by Director, Global Trade Finance and dotted line report to the Regional Controller. (Alternatively, direct report to Regional Trade Finance Director)
Skills and Competencies:
- At least 8 years of experience in the banking or financing industries in lending and international trade settlement;
- Be service oriented with warm personalities;
- Be creative and yet practical at the same time;
- Cost conscious, Hardworking and Self driven with exemplary integrity;
- Fluent in English and Chinese, written Chinese is preferred
Working Conditions:
- To be based in Singapore
- Frequent travelling to meet bankers, dealers and customers within the region
- Ready to travel at short notice
- Once a year travelling to other regions
