Regional Utility Sales Managers
I have been retained by my client who is the leader in switching safety solutions for substation operations. Their flagship product, the Smart Interlock System prevents inadvertent operation by the use of RFID verification.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Regional Sales Managers in various regions in USA. This position requires 70% overnight travel and the ability to demonstrate our products to our customers who are Utility/Industrial Electrical Engineers. Candidate must have a technical background along with strong closing skills.
Regional territories include: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Mountain, Southeast and Texas
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Connect with customers to sell our flagship system and services through calling on prospective customers in your territory.
- Build and maintain effective relationship with existing customers and prospective customers.
- Conduct effective sales presentations addressing the business needs of the customer to propose value-added solutions.
- Manage and recruit independent sales reps.
- Assist in the development of new products and markets.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven successful direct sales experience in utilities markets.
- Ability to build business plans and prioritize sales efforts effectively to achieve business objectives. Specific preference for candidates that can demonstrate prior experience building a business plan with marketing that has been executed to grow sales in a region, new market, or with a new product launch.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow relationships with customers.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with prospective customers.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 75% of time for customer visits and marketing events.
- Experience in Utility operation and maintenance preferred
