Responsibilities
Columbia Management, the wholly-owned U.S. asset management subsidiary for Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Regional Vice President responsible for generating and maintaining sales of mutual funds and separate accounts for Independents, Banks and Wirehouse firms in Ohio.

The Regional Vice President will partner and consult with advisors through the entire selling process--delivering product knowledge, providing usable sales approaches/ideas and guiding the implementation of the sale with advisors and clients in order to get results. Specific responsibilities of this position would include:

* Representation of all products distributed and marketed by Columbia Management
* Identifies client needs and provides investment and business solutions to the financial advisor.
* Conducts sales or product training meetings and public seminars for financial advisors.
* Makes joint sales presentations to existing and prospective clients.
* Keeps abreast of industry/market trends and developments and maintains sound working knowledge of Columbia's products and services.
* Consults in the areas of portfolio building and practice management.
* Reports sales and activities to management on a weekly basis.

The position-s responsibility is to offer professional consulting in the areas of portfolio building and practice management. Duties to include:

* Deliver World-Class Service. Top to bottom, end to end, individually and as a team...to be responsive and responsible in meeting client needs.
* To be consistent. Day in and day out, face-to-face, or through our materials and technologies-we use an established process that provides timely, consistent and high-quality information and insights.
* Know our clients. Asking the right questions and listening well-we get to know our clients- needs and the dynamics of their business, enabling us to be successful partners.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum of 3-5 years in mutual fund/separate account wholesaling or supporting a mutual fund/separate account wholesaler.
* NASD registrations required (series 7, 66 required within the specified timeframe)
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree (MBA) and or CIMA or CFP desired
* In depth working knowledge and experience with mutual funds and separate accounts.
* Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations
* Self driven - able to manage territory budget and to operate autonomously.
* Separate managed accounts experience required.
* Established relationships in the channel.
* Significant travel required, some weekend meetings.
* Participation on all scheduled conferences in and out of the territory.
