Hays Healthcare are working in partnership with this charity that was set up to help people out of the cycle of homelessness, social isolation and drug or alcohol abuse by offering a tailored programme from a range of practical and emotional support services.
The organisation deals with the health and emotional well being of clients alongside practical issues such as housing, social isolation and lack of basic education and employable skills.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain a caseload of service users including those with more complex mental health needs, providing a broad range of treatments and clinical interventions, as appropriate to the individual’s needs.
· Develop role and act as mental health link worker with external agencies, forming excellent links and partnerships with the full range of mental health and other services provided locally, including statutory and non-statutory services
· Participate in the planning, development and delivery of multi-professional training programmes and sessions for a range of housing, drug treatment and managerial staff within the organisation.
· Demonstrate and apply a sound understanding of the legal and ethical issues in caring for people with mental health problems. In particular, demonstrate a sound understanding of the application of the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act and their use within a non-mental health setting with a specific focus on housing and accommodation.
· To work alongside and provide support and supervision to volunteers as required and participate in out of hours Outreach work on a rota basis with other team members, including working Saturday mornings as part of the rota

Essential:
Qualified Mental Health Nurse with relevant post-registration mental health nursing experience at Band 5 or above
Possess Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) registration on the Mental Health part of the register
Be able to demonstrate a professional approach for delivering the highest standards of care to patients
Proactive with ongoing professional development
Knowledge and experience of working in the homelessness and housing sector
Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders to meet the needs of service users
Knowledge and commitment to Adult and Child Safeguarding principles and procedures
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Have excellent IT proficiency in Word, Excel and databases

We are looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses to deliver floating support services, acting as specialist adviser for provision of mental health support and expertise within a multi-disciplinary team providing support services to those who are in housing need, are homeless or at risk of homelessness within Bath and North East Somerset.
