Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, and supportive care to the hemodialysis patient

Working with patients on a long-term basis while demonstrating knowledge of care for the chronic kidney disease patient. 

Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Job Requirements:

    Current Certificate of Competence and membership in good standing - College of Nurses of Ontario

·   Current hemodialysis experience in acute and chronic settings preferred

·   Consideration will be given to interested RNs with medical/surgical experience

·   Progression toward certification in Nephrology Nursing within two years preferred, Canadian Nurses Association

     ·      BCLS

·   Certification in Blood Bank administration, IV Drug Therapy, Hemodialysis Access Management and hemodialysis machine operation preferred

·   Organizational skills demonstrated by ability to care for multiple chronic and acutely ill hemodialysis patients

·   Knowledge of nephrology theory

·   Demonstrated ability to work with chronic patients and families effectively

·      Demonstrative ability to work effectively within a collaborative care environment 

·   Ability to interact with interdisciplinary team

·   Good attendance record
