Located on the scenic Northern California Coast, Sutter Coast Hospital first opened its doors in 1931 and has continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of the residents of Crescent City, California and Brookings-Harbor, Oregon. Sutter Coast Hospital provides a wide spectrum of quality health care services ranging from wellness programs to acute hospital care. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care/critical care units, surgery, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, urgent care and home health services.
Provides care to patients of all ages/developmental stagesfrom infants (pediatrics) to geriatrics with the main focus on adults to geriatrics, in theMedical / Surgical Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to meet the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning and self-care needs of patients and their families. This function is performed in association with nursing peers, physicians and allied support services. The Medical / Surgical Nurse is responsible for comprehensive nursing care of patients inthe Medical / surgical Unit setting performed in association with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services.
- Current CA RN required. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Demonstrated basic nursing skills. Demonstrated communication, assessment and problem solving skills and arrhythmic interpretation. Computer knowledge.
- Working knowledge of pharmacology. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time. Ability to physically assist patients. Ability to bend, stoop and lift patients and medical equipment.
