Current Needs: Currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work as the Manager of Medical Affairs. This is a full time, direct hire position located in Dallas, Texas. Position Description: Oversees, develops and directs all medical affairs programs and to provide case management assistance in the region. Provides clinical expertise to the Regional Executive, provides support to the Plan Board Manager assigned to this region, and serves as a resource of clinical knowledge to the Marketing representative within the region. Develops, coordinates and oversees, for all lines of business, the Regional Quality Improvement (QI) program, Case Management program, inpatient pre-cert program, Mental Health program, prescription drug program and coordinates excess loss needs for each region. Job Requirements: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas required. At least 5 years of Case management experience required. Bachelors (or higher) degree in a health related field or a minimum of 3 years total previous experience as a supervisor or manager in three or more of the following: UM (Utilization Management), CM (Case Management), QA/I (Quality Assurance/Improvement), Managed Care experience, either with a TPA, indemnity plan, or managed care program required. At least 3 years of management/supervisory experience in a managed care environment (HMO, managed health care, physician clinic management) preferred.
