Admissions RNs
 
The Admissions Nurse is a registered nurse and an Interdisciplinary Team Member whose primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in the admission of appropriate patients.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years experience as a R.N. and currently licensed in the state where Vitas is located. Previous oncology experience preferred and previous sales experience preferred. Knowledge of clinical manifestations of diseases and ability to develop VITAS specific clinical knowledge.
Must have reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage.
 
RN Field Case Managers
 
The VITAS Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team and is the pivotal person in identifying the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Initiates appropriate intervention and support for the patient and family upon admission to VITAS and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care.
 
Qualified candidates must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse. Minimum two years medical/surgical, with hospice or home health, experience preferred. Must have reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage.
 
 
 
LVNs Intensive Comfort Care
When our patients symptoms become more acute VITAS can provide continuous shifts of hospice staff for brief periods of time.

Licensed Vocational Nurses for continuous care
4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight ~or~ 12:00 am to 8:00 am
 

 
CHHA
Provides personal care and services to the terminally ill to augment that care given by family members. Must possess a current and up to date certification in home health (CHHA) in addition to certification as a nurses aide (CNA)
 
MSW
The Social Worker is the member of the interdisciplinary team whose primary function is to provide diagnostic evaluations of the psychosocial problems of the patient/family unit, defines social service goals for alleviating these problems, and helps provide both the counseling and casework needed to meet these goals.

Chaplain
The Chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team and focuses on the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff, including volunteers. The chaplain provides pastoral care interventions, including pastoral counseling, which are determined by spiritual assessment, the specific setting and sensitivity to a variety of values, beliefs and religious orientations. The chaplain seeks excellence in pastoral care, which requires authentic demeanor, compassion and skill in dealing with the spiritual dynamics of illness, loss and death.

Job Requirements:
·  Ability to provide patient care in a home care environment.
· RN must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acutecare setting;
  ER, ICU, CCU, Med/Surg or Telemetry preferred.
· LVN license current and up to date.
· Minimum of 2 years of acute/sub acute patient care experience within your LVN classification.
· Up to date and current CA licensure.
