Westwood College in Chicago, IL - the Loop Campus - is looking for a Registrar.
POSITION PURPOSE
Provide leadership, organize and manage all of the activities related to the Records and Registrars Office serving as the official authorized keeper of the college’s student records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads and manages operational activities regarding student registration, SAP, transcripts, graduation and reentries, status changes, attendance, grades and classroom assignments.
2. Responsible for upholding policies and procedures
3. Maintains accuracy of student records/data in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
4. Produces and maintains statistical reports for administration and the various regulatory agencies
5. Evaluates or facilitates as needed. Assigns and maintains credits for transfer credits, advance standing and/or proficiency tests
6. In partnership with the Campus Academic Dean, manages the implementation of the Campus Compliance Work Program in all academic areas.
7. Serves as the Official VA certifying official and Designated School Official (DSO) for SEVIS, unless otherwise assigned by the Campus President.
8. Audits records to insure that all requirements have been meet for student to be eligible for graduation
9. Severs as the gatekeeper for student academic files to ensures campus is compliant with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and any other regularity and privacy requirements.
10. Performs any other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor Degree strongly preferred
2. Communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and writing skills
3. Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and word processing software
4. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
5. Excellent organizational skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
6. Strong adherence to policy and compliance
