Marketing, Registration Admissions Specialist

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for the administration, coordination and communication of the student and course registration process as well as marketing for EMSTA College.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

·         Oversees the areas of public relations, publications, and web site development, including internal campus communications

·         Coordinates the creative development and placement of general College advertising

·         Identifies needs for market research, implements necessary studies and analyzes results

·         Maintain, monitor and manage an accurate student data base

·         Coordinate and oversee the course registration/pre-intent process by compiling, typing, verifying data and arranging for the printing of all registration materials

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

·         Associates Degree or Equivalent 

·         Minimum of 1 year experience in Marketing

·         Minimum of 1 year experience in clerical support positions. Registrar experience preferred

·         Show proficiency in MS office (Word Excel)

·         Experience working with students

·         EMS Experience would be beneficial but not required

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES

 

·         Proven organizational and time management skills to prioritize assignments, manage multiple projects simultaneously, under deadline pressures and with fluctuating priorities. Work both independently and cooperatively to accomplish duties with minimal supervision.

·         Demonstrated work experience in marketing/advertising/public relations setting; identifying, analyzing and creating marketing and promotional activities and opportunities. Knowledge of marketing principles in targeting different audiences (students, alumni, staff, employers, etc.)

·         Ability to work as lead person in developing and implementing marketing strategies involving collaborative arrangements with professional colleagues.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, includes editing and proofreading to produce quality marketing materials. Strong writing skills with the ability to compose creative, concise directed copy, which is both informative and accurate. Experienced writing for the web, knowledgeable about best practices and principles.

·         Planning of special events including developing strategies for invitations, activities and event implementation.

·         Proven ability to make presentations to small and large groups.

·         Demonstrate and foster excellent customer service skills

·         Principles, practices, terminology, and forms used in general office work, database management.

·         Microsoft Office principles and practices, recordkeeping systems, and related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database management) for performing required duties.

·         Demonstrated initiative to identify projects, tasks, or other activities that will further the organization’s goals, obtain an appropriate level of support, and complete the activity in a timely manner

 

TOOLS EQUIPMENT USED

Phone systems, personal computer including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, fax machine, calculator and other office equipment.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process will consist of the following:

·         Formal application;

·         Oral interview;

·         Final selection;

·         Successful candidate will be subject to completion of a standard probationary period.

 

COMPENSATION HOURS

 

This is a part-time position with the ability to grow to a full-time position. Hours include but are not limited to M-TH 9am to 1pm. $12.86 per hour.
