Regulatory Accountant
US bank with impressive strategic presence are currently recruiting for their EMEA office in London.
We are looking for someone who is perhaps a few years qualified and looking to change direction and potentially move into regulatory reporting.
The International Finance team is responsible for all regulatory, external and management reporting requirements in the region. The team provides local support for varied financial service business lines.
The regulatory environment is currently undergoing significant change and the role offers an opportunity for the right candidate to develop an understanding of these changes and how they impact the firm. This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to contribute and learn within an established team.
We are not necessarily looking for a regulatory accountant, but someone with a genuine desire to want to work in this area is a must. The regulatory area is one of the most in demand areas within Financial Services at the moment and offers a varied workload whilst giving opportunity to be involved in business as usual and projects.
Ownership of tasks within daily, monthly quarterly regulatory reporting required by local regulatory bodies in region.
Ownership of tasks within the monthly quarterly reporting for to the Head Office to enable them to report to US external regulators (Including OCC Federal Reserve). Mandate to review processes for the above - ----Regulatory Reporting deliverables in order to identify implement improvements to improve control and better utilize systems capabilities.
Assisting in the planning, testing and implementation of projects which affect the Regulatory Reporting wider Finance team, including merger integration, as required.
Provide leave of absence cover for the production of other deliverables within the department as appropriate in order to satisfy internal control framework requirements.
Candidates must be qualified and have a genuine reason as to why they are interested in working within regulatory reporting.
