Regulatory Affairs Manager
Our client, a Global Financial Institution is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to provide guidance and advice on all aspects of regulation across their businesses globally. The individual would help to develop and maintain regulatory standards to enhance and protect the reputation of the firm.
Duties include:
- Provide guidance and advice to international compliance teams regarding upstream regulatory risk.
- Ensure timely, consistent and quality reporting on changes to policies across the to all relevant stakeholders.
- Maintains internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators in relation to regulatory developments.
- Responsible for ensuring the effective and timely implementation of new regulatory requirements across the global function.
- Monitor regulatory risk change and ensure the appropriate actions are taken to address its potential impacts for the business.
- Responsible for the delivery and execution of compliance programmes in terms of planning and adherence to global regulatory standards.
- Monitor the progress of regulatory projects and resolve issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate global function performance status for senior stakeholders.
- Liaise with key stakeholders and interact with regulators in terms of adhering with relevant procedures, processes and internal controls.
- Keep abreast of legal and regulatory requirements changes and any likelihood of operational risk occurring within the business.
The preferred candidate will ideally financial services background and be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of current and upcoming regulations. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels of business effectively.
