Regulatory Affairs Senior Consultant
ASA is currently recruiting on behalf of a Financial Services client for a Senior Consultant within their Regulatory Affairs - Strategy, Planning (and marketing) team.
As a true business partner, you will be aligned closely with internal executives across the business, playing a vital role in helping their business to evolve as the regulatory environment changes. Your expertise in identifying and analysing emerging regulation and legislation will enable you to play a key role in supporting decision-making up to executive level. You'll provide insights and expertise, developing constructive working relationships with colleagues in a range of business functions and engaging with EU and UK policy-makers and industry professionals.
Objectives will include:
• Significant regulatory risks and opportunities identified and researched, impact analysed and communicated
• Input provided into regulatory change; cross-functional teams led to develop a company view to present to regulators and legislators.
• Relationships developed and managed at all relevant levels across the organisation to influence positive action on regulatory risk.
Candidates suitable for this role are likely to:
• Hold a detailed understanding and practical experience of regulatory risk principles and practices
• Knowledge of investment/asset management operations and systems
• Relevant industry or professional qualification or degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Experience in a regulatory/operational risk specialist or senior consultancy role in the financial sector
• Advanced influencing skills, with a track record of engaging and influencing
• Demonstrable ability to adapt and deliver in a fast-moving commercial environment.
• Track record of delivery in analysis/change management roles in the financial sector
