About the Job
Manage the regulatory compliance activities of the company as follows:
- Manage the RBNA internet website for full ingredient disclosure of all products for North America (US and Canada) by interfacing with US and Canadian Regulatory and RD on a routine basis to discuss formulations, raw materials, for informational needs and to ensure nomenclature harmonization.
- Integrate management of the RBNA ingredient website with the label review system to ensure compliance and harmonization.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all North American (US and Canada) products, including Household and Health Personal Care. Expected to interface with Consultants, Product Safety, Regulatory, RD, and Supply Transportation functions to discuss/clarify projects and informational needs for SDS generation.
- Maintain RBNA chemical information for all Household and Health Personal Care products required for the WERCSmart database. Interface with Sales, Product Safety, Regulatory, RD, and Supply Transportation functions to discuss/clarify informational needs for the WERCS chemical assessment process.
- Respond to consumer inquiries concerning SDS issues or ingredient questions for the regional business unit, as requested. Work with Consumer Relations on consumer responses as needed.
- Research new and modified federal and state chemical ingredient regulations (e.g. TSCA, Proposition 65, etc.) to determine the impact on Reckitt Benckiser products in the United States. Recommend and track actions to ensure compliance and provide input into strategy development.
- Monitor regional regulatory compliance as it relates to TSCA Chemical Data Reporting, California Proposition 65, California Rigid Plastic Packaging Containers, Green Chemistry, Ingredient Disclosure, etc. Collect and compile data as required.
- Manage the North American projects impacted by RB's Global Ingredient Guidelines. Track and monitor efforts to ensure compliance to impacted brands.
- Provide support and documentation to the Regional Regulatory Network as requested
- BA/BS degree required in the natural sciences. Minimum of three years relevant experience in either regulatory affairs or RD.
- Excellent database program skills are required.
- Experience with ingredient nomenclature is required.
- Experience in consumer products industry is highly preferred (a must if only experience is RD).
- High attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Ability to establish close communications and working relationship with cross functional teams to meet business objectives
- Ability to work with uncertainties and effect innovative solutions to complex regulatory requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
