Regulatory Business Analyst

This area works directly with the Business Groups and Developers to create the business process and systems that ensures their Investment, Client and Operations teams are tooled to support new and evolving Regulatory requirements for example, AIFMD, Solvency II, Financial Transaction Tax

The key responsibilities of the candidate are as follows:

* Assist in defining scope and impact of projects, and effectively communicate results to stakeholders and management

* Provide business and data analysis expertise for one or more projects.

* Lead all aspects of business analysis, from requirements gathering, business process definition to post project benefits review.

* Escalate appropriately to Management and/or business and technical sponsors.

* Provide regular, thorough, quality status reporting on projects.

* Proactively identify and communicate issues and risks related to the project.

* Facilitate cross-organisational communication.

* Other tasks as directed by supervisor

* Coordinate and facilitate meetings among key project personnel and ensure a proper framework for issue resolution and risk mitigation is developed and utilised.

* Focus the goals of projects and analysis to ensure conformance to requirements and appropriateness of the delivered product/solution.

* Define test cases to test the application and perform testing duties as applicable within the project.

We are looking for a very high calibre business analyst to perform this role, the key skills we need are

* Demonstrated business and data analysis skills with a hands on approach

* Very strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

* Extremely motivated and ability to operate in a fast paced environment

* Familiarity with capital markets instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives)

* 5-10 years work experience in the financial services industry. Familiarity with buy-side investment management process a plus

* Excellent analytical, creative, organisational and problem solving skills

* Technical aptitude desired (e.g. SQL)
