Regulatory Business Analyst recruitment

The European Banking Authority (EBA) is planning to implement Common Reporting in 2013 for the FINREP and COREP and our client is expected to provide a regulatory solution that can support this and be able to implement the solution at client sites.

The Business Analyst will work primarily on the COREP/FINREP implementation, using strong analytical and investigative questioning skills to breakdown regulatory documents into a more structured document of requirements and have the ability to explain this to other parts of the business. This includes being responsible for translating the regulations into a design document and liaising with developers and quality assurance to ensure compliance with product strategy, functional requirements and be able to suggest where improvement and efficiencies can be made.

The ideal candidate will need good analytical skills and fast documentation writing, be able to grasp difficult concepts with minimal knowledge - and where gaps in knowledge exist be a fast learner, self-motivated and resourceful to utilise different channels to fill in knowledge gaps.

You will ideally have a 2:2 or higher Post Graduate degree in a computing related topic and either 5+ years of work experience of Regulatory Reporting with knowledge of a wide range of products or experience of working in the Regulatory Department of Accountancy firms having dealt with Regulatory Audits. You will have excellent written and oral English skills and a good knowledge of Basle 2 and IRR. Knowledge of Mandarin and Market Risk (FSA5) would be advantageous, especially Securitisations and Credit Derivatives, or previous experience with COREP and FINREP returns. Willingness and ability to travel is also essential.
