Regulatory Business Analyst recruitment

Sharp Decisions is seeking a Regulatory Business Analyst to be based in New York City
The responsibilities of the Regulatory Business Analyst will include:
• Supporting Financial Accounting for both area-specific and firm-wide projects, primarily for US Regulatory Reporting.
• Developing business and functional requirements as per the defined format and obtain timely sign-off by all the respective parties.
• Managing and actively participating in and contributing to all phases of the project lifecycle, including business case development, cost benefit analysis, requirements gathering, test planning and execution and implementation.
• Working closely with the Users, line management, and IT groups throughout the various phases of the project.
• Preparing and maintaining all project related status reports, chair project meetings, engage other departments and groups, as necessary, and manage all issues and risks through to resolution
• Establishing strong working relationships with the Line and IT staff.
• Managing project lifecycle using Operational Excellence/Lean Sigma methodology (DMAIC)
• Defining project scope, goal statement, opportunity statement, project plan and team (Define Phase).
• Meeting with line personnel to collect data and document current processes including business and systems flows. (
• Reviewing data and determining root causes
• Defining new processes with users. 
• Creating proposed business and systems flows and validate.
• Developing plan and processes to continually monitor performance
• Validating IT functional specifications against business and functional requirements
• Working with IT during their design and development.
• Developing test approach-define test cases, test data, expected results and perform testing itself
