The Regulatory Change Management (RCM) role in Project Services is a critical role supporting key Front to Back regulatory activities in the Investment Bank. Its main focus is to support the RCM Director in managing critical projects and governance forums
The RCM team is responsible for:
- Coordinating remediation inputs from multiple departments
- Driving the development of remediation plans
- Managing the change control process ensuring projects deliver according to plans submitted to the regulators
- Aligning change standards within the project portfolio and helping optimize the way change is delivered and managed
- Managing responses to Regulators and obtaining acceptance
- Managing remediation projects through to delivery
- Ongoing communication management with Regulatory Relationship managers and regulators as to the status of remediation projects
- Coordinating multiple activities surrounding Basel 3 activities
This is a senior role and the successful candidate is expected to be able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, often to very tight deadlines

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Essential
• Graduate with a minimum 2.i degree
• Significant project management experience with a leading consulting firm within financial services or in an international investment bank
• Knowledge/awareness of financial regulation
• Experience in Programme management work i.e. Project planning, Risk and issue management, Status reporting and Steering committee management
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
• Strong knowledge of investment banking business processes – front to back
• Ease in dealing with senior management
• Experience in achieving results in a project context using resources that do not report directly to them
• Solid knowledge of IT, including experience of: managing IT-oriented projects, user requirements development, and testing
• Good understanding of IT oriented methods and approaches
• Extremely strong organisational skills
• Strong relationship skills
• Good knowledge of standard office software applications (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
• Thorough knowledge of project management methods, standards and processes.
Desirable
• PRINCE2 Practitioners certification or PMI Certification
• Knowledge / experience with capital management, regulatory risk model approval, Basel 3 legislation
Your main responsibilities will involve:
The responsibilities of the RCM include:
SUPPORT
- Supporting the preparation of board/steering committee materials
- Planning and scheduling meetings, participating in the meetings, and writing minutes
- Setting-up project reporting processes (status reporting, issue management, etc) for new projects and governance forums
- Taking ownership of issues; following through to resolution within agreed timeframes
- Creating, executing and maintaining project plans
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project or governance forums
- Ensuring the projects are managed in accordance with Project Services methodology and delivery standards
RESPONSE MANAGEMENT
- Assisting with developing and communicating our response plan
- Overseeing development of our response
- Assisting and preparation for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
REMEDIATION OVERSIGHT
- Capturing remediation activities
- Tracking commitments and identify/manage issues and risks
- Drive remediation points to full closure and sign-off
- Supporting the RCM director in ensuring we meet our regulatory commitments
REPORTING
- Providing regular and ad-hoc project reporting (i.e. project status, risks and issues etc) as requested by RCM Director and senior management
- Reporting our exposure and risk on projects
COMMUNICATION
- Facilitates stakeholder meetings and status meetings with project team effectively
- Keeps project team well informed of changes within the projects
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to senior management
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized and good quality presentations
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner
- Assisting with thought leadership of the department, participation in department wide communications (e.g. monthly Global VC), complying with department policies, providing input to departmental reporting, etc.
NETWORK MAINTENANCE/DEVELOPMENT
- Success for Project Services is bolstered by the informal cross IB and cross bank networks that are maintained by the individuals in Project Services.
- Each member of PSD is encouraged to invest in maintaining their own informal network to support this.

The successful candidate will join a highly valued, senior team of ambitious managers. They will gain exposure to multiple areas of the bank and will be well positioned to build a complete understanding of the front-to-back operations of a global investment bank. They will work on high profile and strategically important projects and will be in a position to develop a broad network of contacts across the bank. Many staff go on from their time in Project Services to take on influential roles elsewhere in the bank (for example as COOs in the Front Office).
