Regulatory Compliance Associate recruitment
Your responsibilities will include:
• Working with the head of the team and colleagues within Compliance and Legal to co-ordinate Compliance activities relating to regulatory developments in Europe, including initiatives arising from European central supervisory bodies and national regulators.
• Provide effective and proactive support to regulatory policy agenda co-ordinating with the EMEA Government Relations and Public Policy team, including analysis of emerging and new regulation, input to submissions made to European supervisory bodies, trade associations and other stakeholders.
• Engagement with business areas and support functions to implement regulatory change to ensure the company continues to fulfill its’ regulatory obligations.
• Provide input to regular reporting and communication on regulatory developments to senior management and corporate and/or fund boards and broader company business.
• Provide input on regulatory developments in client presentations.
• Provide input to and actively participate in team and departmental briefings.
• Co-ordinate meetings of internal committees and other stakeholder groups, as required.
• Manage internal records of regulatory papers and other material.
• Participate in other compliance projects and initiatives.
• Where required, reviewing client communications and/or financial promotions (as required) including brochures, factsheets, presentations etc.
Key attributes:
- Previous experience within financial services, ideally Asset Management and within Compliance or other control function.
- Previous exposure to regulatory developments work and/or FSA and EU regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- High standard of accuracy and excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritise workloads and adhere to deadlines;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams/functions and work autonomously on projects/initiatives.
- Self-motivated with ability to use initiative.
