Regulatory Compliance Consultant – London West
Our client is a leading global provider of regulatory compliance consulting services and software to the asset management and securities industries. It employs more than 100 experienced professionals who support more than 800 investment businesses.
Its clients range from start-ups to large firms with well-established track records and utilise a broad array of investment strategies and styles such as: long only, long/short equities, global macro, credit, distressed, bank debt, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real estate-related and fund of fund strategies.
As part of its growth plans it is looking to hire an experienced compliance professional to join its Regulatory Consulting team.
This is a varied role and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide clients with responsive regulatory advice and solutions
Update clients on regulatory change and how it impacts their business
Draft manuals and other compliance documentation for clients
Set up relevant compliance infrastructure for clients
Carry out regular compliance monitoring reviews onsite with clients, and subsequently write compliance monitoring reports
Involvement in designing / running training courses
Build / develop client relationships
Help develop the offering as appropriate
Key Skills / Experience:
Proven track record within compliance gained within Compliance consultancy, Asset / Investment Management, Hedge funds, Securities firms or the FCA
Ability to implement solutions to address the regulatory requirements of the client
Sound knowledge of the FCA handbook
Experience of monitoring and the ability to develop compliance monitoring programmes and techniques
Degree educated (or equivalent)
Strong client facing ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience required:
At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in an FCA focused compliance role
Experience gained at an Asset Management or Broking firm, as a compliance / regulatory consultant from Big4 or specialist firm, or at the FCA
