Regulatory Compliance Manager/ Snr Manager- HONG KONG recruitment

A global professional services organisation seeks to recruit a number of risk and compliance professionals, in particular regulatory compliance. There is a particular emphasis on the implementation of international and local regulatory and risk management initiatives. Clients include local and foreign financial institutions, there is also a strong focus on financial institutions in Mainland China.

Responsibilities:
• As part of a team of professionals, provide advisory services to clients on the development and implementation of risk management policies, systems and controls, and regulatory issues 
• Review risk management policies and procedures against Hong Kong/China regulatory requirements and against the best international practices; identify opportunities for enhancement; assist clients in developing an implementation strategy and in resolving implementation issues 
• Assist clients in understanding and meeting regulatory requirements, including responding to the findings of regulatory examinations, and suggest interpretations on banking/securities rules and regulations 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of risk management methodologies and current risk management and regulatory developments, both locally and internationally 
• Develop business opportunities and potential openings with clients

Experience/Attributes:
• 3-8 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a regulatory agency (HKMA, MAS, SFC, FSA, ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC), major bank or consultancy firm 
• Expertise and hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Basel II, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, risk modeling, Hong Kong/China banking and/or securities regulatory compliance issues 
• Excellent analytical skills 
• Strong project management and coordination skills 
• Relevant professional qualifications such as HKICPA, CFA, FRM 
• Excellent command of verbal and written English. Mandarin is Preferable
