Job Descriptions

To prepare accurate statistical returns for Treasury UK, Group Treasury Private Banking incorporating the control of relevant standing data and identifying lapses in current internal control/audit functions requiring rectification. To consolidate, submit to Bank of England and control output of returns for all SCB UK reported units.

Key Roles Responsibilities
1. Produce timely and accurate Bank of England reports for Treasury UK, Group Treasury Private Banking fully supported with variance analysis.  

2. Identify lapses in current procedures relating to internal controls/audit and instigate corrective measures.

3. Develop and improve efficiency to eradicate corrupt data by training/implementation of new GCA codes.

4. Identify, develop and manage proposed changes in l Bank of England statistical reporting requirements.

5. To ensure irregularities in data are investigated and corrected before month end.

6. Liaison with colleagues in finance re data and reconciliations.
(a) Regulatory Return Preparation

- detailed review of source data for accuracy and consistency

- analysis and collation of figures

- preparation of returns manually and on PC

- review of results for internal and external consistency

(b) Development of Financial Information Reporting

- keeping up to date with requirements in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.

- identifying and recommending courses of action to tackle lapses in current procedures

(c) Data Validation

- scrutiny of data entered in main computer system

- investigation of all irregularities

To assist dealing with queries and questions from regulators as and when they arise.
To perform any other duties that he/she may be called upon to perform.

Qualifications Skills
Experience in the preparation of Regulatory returns for the Bank of England
Previous Financial Service or Banking sector experience an added advantage
Intermediate or advance excel skills
The individual should be proactive, willing to learn and develop working procedures to benefit the role and the department
Possess good written and oral communication skills.
A professional attitude to work and a keen eye for detail while maintaining sight of the "bigger picture" are also essential qualities.
Ability to understand and implement new regulatory requirements.
