Regulatory Financial Accountant recruitment
This role will support the Financial Reporting Capital Management Senior Finance Manager in delivery of team's objectives,such as:
- Research of technical accounting and regulatory matters and sharing knowledge with others, including support to the Technical Review Committee and monitoring compliance with the Aviva Group Reporting Manual
- Monitoring compliance with specific Finance Group standards, and coordinating and compiling required MI, and sign offs
- As well as overseeing Elements of regional financial reporting, UK legal entity reporting, FSA regulatory returns and Supporting effective capital management for the group, maintaining an effective business relationship with the external auditors
As well as BAU work, there will be ample opportunity to be involved in ad-hoc projects such as solvency II and MA and restructuring activity. This therefore offers a broad range of activities and exposure, perfect for an ambitious candidate wanting more experience in the assent management space.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (member of recognisable professional body)
- Experience in the review (or audit) of financial statements and regulatory returns is essential.
- Experience of researching and concluding on technical accounting issues
- Understanding of the investment management industry
- Knowledge of IFRS, and requirements for SOX equivalent compliance
- Confident with the principles and practical application of group consolidations
- Working as part of wider global finance team
- Demonstrable experience of leading core deliverables
- Knowledge of Oracle/TM1 an advantage
