The Glasgow Finance Division helps senior management and its individual business units manage the firm's risk by implementing financial controls over our business activities. The division is crucial to safeguarding the firm's franchise, reporting on current performance, and evaluating business opportunities.

The Liquidity Funding Controller team was formed in 2010 and currently has 20 FTE in Glasgow who form part of a global team, which also have a presence in London, New York Mumbai.

The Liquidity Funding Control Group is responsible for the regular review and sign off of liquidity data including the review of liquidity maturity profile information by legal entity, product and currency, business analysis of liquidity reporting output, reconciliation of liquidity data to balance sheet, application of accounting adjustments and production of a summary pack for various users.

The Group is also responsible for regulatory reporting and monthly management reporting to senior management detailing maturity profiling, liquidity trend analysis, variance analysis by maturity profile, currency and legal entity and escalation of liquidity risks.

The Regulatory Liquidity Controller will:

1. Prepare regulatory liquidity reporting for management review

2. Support control functions that underpin daily regulatory liquidity submissions to the Federal Reserve and / or Prudential Regulation Authority

3. Own a range of product feeds into Liquidity Data Hub

4. Provide business commentary for material movements and variances on aggregated level reports

5. Develop working partnership with key Finance Operations groups.

6. Product feed development and testing

7. Provide cross cover for other product / reporting control areas

Skills Required

The successful candidate will have experience in managing large amounts of data and strong attention to detail skills. The ability to analyse and interpret data to draw a meaningful conclusion is essential.

The candidate should be:

• able to demonstrate strong risk awareness through proven examples and have an understanding of liquidity risk.
• an analytical thinker with meticulous work style and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• have willingness to take initiative to develop and improve processes.
• proficient with Microsoft Office (strong excel and database skills a plus) and Microsoft Project
• adept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment.
• have good communication skills, especially in addressing technical and quantitative issues.

Skills Desired

Investment banking experience an accountancy qualification would advantageous.
