Regulatory Policy Associate recruitment
he Regulatory Policy Group (US and UK) works to:
• Identify key regulatory initiatives
• Develop and advocate the firm's position and ensure a consistent approach across regions
• Ensure that the firm is prepared for implementation of new regulations
• Collaborate with regulators, government officials, and other firms, globally, to influence regulatory policies and reforms
• Maximize opportunities and minimize adverse capital impacts on the firm
• Provide subject matter expertise in determining appropriate capital treatment for current / future transactions
The Regulatory Policy Associate role in London will be responsible for supporting the above in analyzing current and proposed capital regulations.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Work with management team and subject matter experts outside Regulatory Policy to prepare responses to regulatory initiatives
• Work with LOB controllers in determining appropriate capital treatment for current / future transactions
• Ad hoc project management / administration tasks
• Assist with or perform projects within the Regulatory Policy Group including, but not limited to:
• Economic and regulatory capital
• Risk issues
• Bank supervision and rules
• Financial markets regulation
Qualifications:
- Substantial experience in risk management, regulatory capital or accounting
- Basic knowledge of regulatory capital (Basel I, II III)
- Very strong project management experience and ability to manage work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Very strong analytical, written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
