Regulatory Policy Manager recruitment

The role of Manager - Regulatory Policy Team is to: support team in providing advice and guidance to internal customers on the impact of new regulatory rules on regulatory reporting and procedures;
- provide summaries of policy issues for senior management including technical analysis;
- develop understanding of systems required for calculation of risk weighted assets under Basel 2 and 3;
- assist in ensuring the integrity of group external reporting;
- liaise with external industry bodies and peer banks on issues of common interest;
- review FSA and other industry papers and determine group policy for regulatory reporting and
- respond to queries from sites and group on the application of regulatory rules.

The jobholder is responsible for making recommendations to key stakeholders, for formulating the Group's views and influencing any changes in relation to regulatory policy for the benefit of the Group. The jobholder will also be expected to represent the banking group at industry bodies (BBA, LIBA, EBF, CEBS) and maintain a thorough awareness of developing industry issues and their impact. The jobholder will also review other regulatory policy papers from FSA, BIS, EBA in addition to those directly related to Basel 2 and 3.
Finance, capital and risk knowledge / expertise
Banking and capital markets industry knowledge
Basel 2 and 3 knowledge.
Qualified Accountant or Banker and / or with appropriate academic training and qualifications in finance, risk management, in particular credit risk management techniques.
Regulatory policy and / reporting experience.
Graduate or equivalent professional qualification
