Job Description:
We are seeking experienced professionals to continue to extend the depth and breadth of our services in the Capital Markets area, with areas of focus such as:
- Managing the impacts of MIFID II, EMIR and associated regulation
- Implementing accounting and regulatory reporting changes including Basel III, COREP or IFRS
- Legal entity strategy and structuring
- Resolution and recovery planning
- Process and controls assessments across key finance and risk areas
Specific roles and responsibilities may include:
- Delivery of client engagements, leading small teams and in some instances working with larger, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and KPMG individuals
- Providing high quality advisory services to our clients and other departments of KPMG around areas of specialism
- Developing and winning new business through marketing and sales activities with both new and existing clients
- Creation of and contribution to high quality thought leadership around areas of specialism for written publications, training events, client seminars and conferences
- To take accountability for recording all working time, time billing and recovery and recovery of client chargeable time
- Maintaining up to date knowledge in areas of specialism and keeping abreast with any pertinent developments
- Marketing and raising the profile of KPMG in the market place through networking events, attendance at external conferences, contributing to publications conferences etc.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Accountant (desirable but not required)
Experience and Background
- Extensive PQE, either in practice or industry (and preferably both) with specific experience in the capital markets area
- Understanding of regulatory developments and key current issues facing clients.
- Awareness of the near and medium term regulatory horizon
- Evidence of the ability to apply technical knowledge to identify solutions and provide advice to clients in a variety of situations and to strict timetables
- Ability to communicate compellingly both in writing and verbally
- Good project management and teamwork skills evidenced by a demonstrable record of project delivery
