Regulatory Reform | Manager Job in Braddon 2612, Australian Capital Territory Australia

Our client is a large Commonwealth Agency with responsibility for a diverse range of safety and environmental issues.  They are seeking a Regulatory Reform Manager to assist in the progression and management of the implementation of a single national regulatory system.  

 

As the Manager of Regulatory Reform you will assist in the development of regulatory models and options in consultation with internal and external stakeholders. Primarily you will assist in the preparation of policy positions and standards reports in regards to the existing complex, multi-jurisdictional framework and you will assist the Standards Manager in leading the Standards Unit towards regulatory reform. 

 

This role requires a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks, exceptional research and writing skills and the ability to communicate technical information to a range of audiences. 

 

 

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate proven leadership skills, a strong capacity for regulatory analysis and ability to quickly gain an understanding of our client’s regulatory framework. Additionally, you will possess excellent communication skills, accompanied by a keen eye for detail and the ability to consider the organisation’s broader stratagy. 

 

To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience in regulatory development duties within a government environment and experience in writing government briefs and cabinet papers will be highly regarded.  Legal qualifications are not essential.

                                                          

This position is offered on a 12 month contract basis with a salary range of  $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 depending on skills and experience.
