Regulatory Reporting Accountant – Finance Manager recruitment
The Company
Australian based bank with growing presence in the Asia market is seeking an experienced HKMA reporting candidate.
The Role
You will be responsible for the preparation and submission of the Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Returns in addition to any ad hoc requests that are received from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA). You will need to have had prior experience of HKMA returns and possess the ability to navigate the HKMA rules and guidelines as well as HK Banking Ordinance. You will also be required to attend to queries from the HKMA regarding submissions and keeping abreast with changes in regulations. Knowledge of Basel II and other regulatory requirements are advantageous.
You will also be responsible for assisting with automation of returns and have excellent excel and computer skills.
Your Profile
- Accounting degree and / or post qualification CPA/CA
- 6+ years proven experience in a Finance function in a Bank/Financial Institution
- Significant experience with HKMA returns with a strong appreciation of local regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret standards
- Ability to deal with connected departments from Operations / Legal / Compliance to External parties such as auditors and regulators as required
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
- Excellent attention to detail
- PC literate with ability to leverage such skills
