Regulatory Reporting

My client is a top tier investment bank looking to recruit the next generation of bankers into their regulatory reporting team. The regulatory function is an exciting new recruitment hotspot, due to the increased government demand for tight regulations on the financial services sector. Progression in this area is strong and demand is high for high calibre, ACA qualified accountants with UK work experience who want to kickstart their careers in the banking industry.

The role is to work within the main regulatory team, which focuses on both regulatory capital large exposures reporting to the FSA and the SARB (South African Reserve Bank). The role would cover core capital large exposures reporting (both daily month-end) and direct involvement in a number of key projects to ensure ongoing compliance with new regulations (to involve interpretation of new reporting legislation and the specification of new system requirements). There would also be significant engagement with the Business to provide key management information on a wide range of complex trades and structures. The successful candidate would report into the regulatory capital reporting manager, who has been in banking for a number of years and has a wealth of experience across the regulatory capital reporting space.

The successful candidate will be able to maintain a strong network of internal and external professional relationships in order to ensure the smooth production of the FSA returns. A strong university level educational background is essential, with a relevant accountancy qualification from a practice background. The client is looking for a candidate with regulatory experience, or a proven track record from a top ten practice firm and a knowledge of financial services systems from audit.
