An excellent VP-level opportunity within the Regulatory Risk and Controls team at a leading Global Asset Manager, developing and implementing a risk-based monitoring programme for EMEA region.
The position reports to the EMEA Head of Regulatory Risk Controls and will have management responsibility for a small team, leading the implementation of regulatory reviews across the region.
Duties/responsibilities include:
- preparation, delivery and write-up of regulatory monitoring reviews
- interaction with key business stakeholders across the lifecycle of the review
- presentation of finding and receommendadtions to senior management within Legal Compliance as well as key business stakeholders
- escalating and tracking issues through to conclusion
- ensuring the maonitoring framework remains up-to-date and relevant
- co-ordinating with other finctions e.g. Internal Audit, Operational Risk
- developing periodic Board and Committee reporting
- representing Regulatory Risk and Controls at internal meetings
- Managing junior team members
The successful candidate may alse have the opportunity to become involved in oversight and review of front office transaction based monitoring activities.
The successful candidate will:
- have a track record of executing regulatory reviews in either industry / for the regulator / or as a big 4 or equivalent consultant
- have a good understanding of the asset management sector, prfeerably with experience working for an asset manager
- have an up-to-date understanding and awareness of FSA and other EMEA regulatory requirements
- have the ability to communicate effectively with senior management
- be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
- have report writing experience
- adhere to deadlines and be able to prioritize workloads
- be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
