Regulatory Specialist Job in Cincinnati 45241, Ohio US
DuBois Chemicals, Inc. is looking for a Regulatory Specialist who has previous industry experience and knowledge of government regulations that apply to DuBois products, including but not limited to OSHA Hazard Communication, WHMIS, and DOT. Demonstrated experience classifying products according to the health and physical hazards, writing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), and writing labels is required as these activities comprise the major duties of this position.
Nature and Scope of Responsibilities
· Minimal supervision required. Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
· Perform OSHA hazard assessments for MSDS development; author MSDSs and product label content.
· Apply working knowledge of applicable regulations to the commercialization and maintenance of DuBois products.
· Respond to requests for product regulatory information, and support customers and DuBois Sales Representatives with regulatory issues.
· Maintain a thorough knowledge of emerging regulations (e.g., GHS)
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
· BS/MS in Health or Environmental Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering.
· Three or more years of proven experience in a regulatory compliance position.
· Working knowledge of OSHA Hazard Communication and WHMIS.
· Familiarity with toxicological assessments and MSDS/Label authoring are essential
· Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills
· Competency in use of computer resources (e.g., MS Office Suite) and aptitude for learning specialized compliance software programs.
· Strong problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
· Experience with import export, Kosher, FIFRA and/or Industrial Hygiene
· Working knowledge of DOT, IATA, IMDG regulations.
· Experience with IHS (Atrion) Intelligent Authoring
