Overview:
Register/certify products with NSF, UL, CE, French ACS, European WRAS, China MOH and other Domestic and International Agencies and provide support for other product conformance requirements. Participate in Industry Regulatory meetings and committees to keep track of and implement compliance/standards changes. Pull data from the ERP and CAD systems and convert it to wetted parts list and exploded drawings. Maintain and prioritize the regulatory project list based on financial analysis of each project.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate product certification requirements with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Product Management Departments.
- Review Bill of Materials and create wetted parts lists for products being submitted for regulatory and standards compliance. (e.g. FDA compliance, NSF listed, etc.)
- Coordinate witness testing with Lab Supervisor; compile test data and prepare documentation (operation/instruction manuals and labels) to conform to standards policies and product claims.
- Complete product applications and compile supporting documentation for products’ registration/certification.
- Coordinate and comprehend drawings as required for product registration/certification including a detailed Bill of Materials and wetted parts lists with material formulations.
- Communicate design changes in products to the proper agency (NSF, UL, CE, MOH, WRAS, WI, CA, etc.).
- Contact customers and vendors as needed to prepare product applications.
- Prepare final NSF or UL Documentation Reports and maintain product files.
- Maintain and prioritize the regulatory project list and timelines regarding status of product registrations.
- Maintain library of current Domestic and International Certification Standards and Requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Support and maintain nondiscriminatory practices in accordance with the Division Affirmative Action Program.
Required Skills:
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Science; Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 3+ years experience in Global Product Certifications and Standards for various countries with various third"€‘party certifying agencies (i.e, NSF, FDA, UL, CE, WRAS, ACS, MOH).
- Excellent project management, communication, computer (MS Project or equivalent), and organizational skills.
- Good technical background with knowledge of basic chemistry, materials, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with ERP Systems (AS400, JDE, SAP, etc.) to pull data for analysis and conversion into wetted or food zone parts lists.
- Aptitude to learn 3D CAD software (Solidworks) to create or modify exploded drawings preferred.
