Regulatory Transactions Consultant recruitment
IMS supports more than 600 investment businesses, ranging from established global firms to start-ups. Our clients include many of the world's largest hedge fund managers, private equity firms, fund of funds managers, family offices and institutional pension fund managers.
We are looking to hire someone to join our Regulatory Transactions Team where the successful candidate will be responsible for project managing clients FSA applications. On a daily basis this will include providing advice to a range of clients on compliance and regulatory issues, in line with the requirements of the FSA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the project management of applications by firms for authorisation by the FSA
• Liaison with clients, the FSA and other third party service providers (e.g. auditors, lawyers and Prime Brokers)
• Liaison with other consultants within the business to facilitate the handover of FSA applications clients to the ongoing consulting team
• Project management of change of control and approved persons applications to the Financial Services Authority
• Research the FSA Handbook, FSA consultation papers and primary legislation (e.g. Financial Services and Markets Act 2000)
• Assist in the preparation of consultancy agreements and proposals
You should enjoy working in a team environment as well as be individually capable of managing your own workload. You should also be a self starter and possess strong communication skills as you will be expected to advise clients and team members across multiple concurrent projects.
Candidates should be educated to graduate level with a relevant degree and whilst previous compliance is not necessary, it is very much preferred. This experience may have been gained either full time or through internships.
