Reimbursement Specialist Job in San Antonio 78229, Texas US

 

Title:  Reimbursement Specialist                   

                              Monitor charts for completeness and accuracy.  Assist with audits PRN.

                               Insurance verification of benefits and documentation.

                               Client intake information.

                              Willingness to learn.

                               Works independently.

                               Answers phone and direct calls appropriately.

                              Monitors cash flow and the reimbursement process.

                              Maintains all appropriate documentation for billing to include but not limited to CMN,  and authorizations.

                               Prepare physician orders, CMN’s, Title’s and send for physician signatures as necessary.

                               Originate all claims for infusion and or parenteral/enteral therapies and supplies.

                             Process and maintain patient clinical records regarding patient information, documentations of planning communications, inventories, order changes and drug interactions.

                            Collections and appeals.

                            Deposit daily receipts and post to accounts receivable.

                           End of month reports to include but not limited to: cash receipts, aging, summary of invoices, sales and collections.                            
             Maintain office inventory as necessary.

                        Assist professional staff in corresponding with physicians and caregivers.

                         Participate in ongoing quality control and quality assurance program when appropriate.

 

                Requirements

                             Courtesy and reliability must be exceptional.

                             Must have high school diploma or GED.

                             Basic knowledge of medical billing (preferred)
           Experience in home infusion billing (preferred)

                             Good interpersonal skills.

                             Willingness to work as a team.

                             Good personal hygiene.

                Supervision:

Reports directly to the general manager.

 
This position is for a small home infusion, specialty pharmacy.  Experience is preferential but we are willing to train if the work ethic and customer service qualities are exceptional.
