Position Requirements:
We are seeking a Director for coverage of the U.S. Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Industry. This position will have direct primary-analyst responsibility for a portfolio of 10-15 companies and back-up coverage for an additional 10-15 companies. Primary duties associated with the portfolio of companies include: conducting on-site meetings including meetings issuer senior management, performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative credit factors, presenting companies to Fitch Ratings' internal credit rating committee, communicating ratings and rating rationale to issuers, buy- and sell-side investors, and members of the media, attending and participating in industry conferences as a speaker, writing and publishing press releases, research reports and participating in the evaluation of other corporate credits.

This position will also take a lead role in publishing industry trend studies and sector reviews, as well as periodic evaluation and updating of credit methodology. Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years relevant credit and REITS industry analysis experience. Prior experience analyzing financial real estate companies is necessary. Strong writing skills, a solid foundation of analytical abilities and well-developed interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is necessary. MBA and/or CFA/CPA preferred. Travel required.
