GOVERNMENTAL
RELATIONS SPECIALIST I
VIA Metropolitan Transit is currently seeking candidates for the position of Governmental Relations Specialist I, responsible for monitoring and advocating for VIA projects and programs before and with local elected officials, their staffs and constituents. Maintains relationships at the municipal and county commissioners court level. Assists in coordinating resolution for concerns brought to the attention of VIA from the office of a locally elected official. Bachelors degree with concentration in Public Affairs, Public Administration or related field, and at least three years of applicable work experience in governmental relations or related field with emphasis on constituent services or community outreach, or an equivalent combination.
