The London branch of Wells Fargo, based in Fenchurch Street, has approximately 300 Team Members.

Responsibilities
The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
- Assist in achieving business development goals set by the Regional Manager and Relationship managers.
- Be actively involved in developing and executing a business development plan (i.e. tiering/ segmentation of clients and prospects, calling plan, documentation) for assigned clients and prospects to include customer calls, presentations, proposals.
- Assist in building lasting, influential, consultative client relationships with key decision makers.
- Work with RM to follow up on pending opportunities.
- Ensure timely and comprehensive documentation of all business development efforts in the region, including marketing strategies, credit strategies, customer calls, and pipeline and referral activity.
- Actively support relationship managers in credit requests for clients including term loans, bilateral loans, trade finance transactions, standby letters of credit among others.
- Partner effectively with other Wells Fargo groups to meet revenue targets, execute business plans and implement new business and retain existing business.
- Demonstrate understanding of Wells Fargo cross sell products.
- Directly responsible as part of the relationship management group in managing risks effectively and ensuring all KYC/AML compliance. requirements for both existing and new clients are met. This includes:
- Complete compliance calls on customers with the prescribed timeframe as assigned by the RM
- Prepare Relationship Memos including all compliance components of the task with the prescribed timeframe as assigned by the RM
- Proactively manage the risk in his/her portfolio, identifying and bringing to management’s attention risk factors that could affect overall relationship with the customers.
- Ensure that clients receive high quality service by assisting Customer Service staff when needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationship/dialogue with existing clients.
- Understand and anticipate client needs; proactively identify solutions.
- Provide operational support to the relationship managers.
- Have full knowledge of the systems and MIS required for computing profitability, compliance, call logs and implementations of new products/ new clients as part of the operations support .
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Ideally degree educated in business/ international relations/ economics/ finance or a related field is required.
- Strong written communication and organization skills is required.
- Experience with a western financial institution is preferable.
- Fluency in English (oral/written) is minimum requirement.
- Knowledge of other foreign language, specifically from CEE is preferred
- Strong knowledge and/or experience with credit related products is desirable.
- Proved record of sales/business development experience is desirable.
- Background in compliance, Anti Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) monitoring is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial institutions products including cash management, trade finance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural team environment and liaise with multiple GFI offices across the map; relevant experience with a foreign FI is desirable.
- Ability to learn systems, product and organizational details fast.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and work independently when necessary.
