Relationship Director
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Corporate Banking business team within Santander, based in our Gatwick office. As a Relationship Director you will come in to drive new business development and manage relationships with small / medium large companies (mainly those with turnover over £2.5m to £25 million) and equivalent entities, including Real Estate and EHC specialists.
As a Relationship Director your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- A proven track record in Commercial Corporate Banking, and the ability to demonstrate broad knowledge of all aspects of this as it relates to the target customers. A good understanding of financial analysing, planning and modelling.
- Substantial evidence of experience in lending, including demonstrable experience as a principal.
- Specific experience in lending to Corporate commercial companies, and in driving the credit analysis for such deals.
- Ability to identify issues in credit analysis of organisations and to structure transactions to mitigate these.
- Demonstrable, proven track record as a relationship manager in commercial Corporate banking.
As a Relationship Director your main responsibilities will involve:
- To originate new customer relationships for the core product set of lending, invoice finance, asset finance, treasury, current account, deposit, and cash management.
- To manage existing portfolio of customer transactions, supporting customers and retaining business.
- To extend and develop business with existing customers, aiming for an average of 3 products and for a primary banking relationship.
- Understanding the needs of customers and prospective customers in depth, and to work with them to find effective solutions to their business issues.
