Relationship Director – Mid

Currently an opportunity exists for a Relationship Director within Mid Markets in Commercial Banking. Mid Markets serves business customers with turnover of £25m-750m. The Mid Markets franchise is considered on a customer segment basis, which include mid-sized corporate groups, public sector organisations, housing associations and mid-sized private real estate groups.

This opportunity exists within the Mid Markets team based within Hertfordshire and South Beds. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of customers with turnover between £25m and £100m with opportunities for relationship building skills to be developed.

Additionally, there is opportunity to develop new relationships in this turnover range to build portfolio from scratch. 

 

Core Responsibilities

• Manage a designated portfolio of customer relationships in order to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way whilst meeting the Bank's risk and profitability requirements.

• Develop and execute a Business plan for the portfolio as part of the overall Area Business Plan. Deliver value from both existing and new customers to achieve the Business Plan aims.

• Review and develop customer proposals to deliver solutions that work for both the customer and the Bank.

• Identify and execute new business opportunities with existing customers or new opportunities to facilitate delivery of the Individual/Team/Area/Regional Business Plan. Develop and deliver growth from a shadow set of non-customers identified and created by the job holder.

• Prepare credit and pricing proposals after negotiation with customers for appropriate approval within the Bank.

• Review the credit status of relationships and manage risk to its fullest extent using all forms of available information be it customer, Bank or market supplied.

• Provide advice, guidance and support to colleagues across the business.
