Corporate Financial Services (CFS) is part of the Business and Private Banking (BPB) business unit of the Commonwealth Bank. The CFS team serves over 12,000 clients with complex financial needs and over $10m in revenue. The division is well placed to provide medium and large companies with access to a wide range of financial services with approximately 800 professionals in nearly 50 locations across Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Banker currently managing a successful portfolio of Commercial and/or Corporate Banking clients, with current strong local networks, to move into a portfolio and collaborative team in Corporate Banking at the CBA, and to focus on growing new quality profitable business. The role requires developing new business opportunities with existing clients, and acquiring new clients to the Bank identified from a variety of sources including your current referral networks.
DUTIES:
- Retaining existingCorporate Banking clients through excellent client service
- Driving new profitable business
- Managing actual results against agreed plans
- Actively pursuing the identification of opportunities to assist clients meet their financial needs and goals. This will require an in depth understanding of complex client needs and enlisting the involvement of product specialists to deliver a broad range of financial solutions
- Driving deal execution withyour proven skills in originating, structuring and negotiating complex solutions
- Delivering timely and professional financial solutions in support of business objectives and client's needs,through yourin depth understanding of the client's business
- You will be required to build a profile presence on behalf of the Commonwealth Bank in Corporate Banking in theMelbourne CBD region.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
As the successful candidate you will ideally have;
- Experience in managing a portfolio of Commercial and/or Corporate Banking clients, with proven business origination outcomes and extensive knowledge of Banking products and services.
- You will be a self-motivated self-starter, with a CAN do attitude, analytically strategically minded and have an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- You will demonstrate leadership, have astrong risk management focus, and be very organised and goal orientated.
- You will be highly motivated, ambitious, have strong presentation, negotiation, communication and relationship management skills, and you will be passionate about customer service and driving new business.
- A degree in Business/Finance and/or Commerce is an advantage.
- Candidates with a strong sales orientation will be highly regarded, as will those with the drive to quickly develop any new skills.
