Relationship Manager
Your aim is to agree and deliver a repayment or exit programme with clients to achieve either full repayment, or to a level that meets core bank lending parameters.
The Global Restructuring Group, along with Non-Core and the Asset Protection Scheme, play an important part in managing major corporate clients across the globe who find themselves in financial distress. We are responsible for; the management of any problem lending portfolios, returning those accounts to the originating Group business unit or subsidiary in a satisfactory condition, maximising debt recoveries and obtaining levels of reward proportionate with risks undertaken.
Business Restructuring Group is the UK division of GRG which deals with distressed debt cases of typically £1 million to £20 million. Using a variety of methods and skills our prime aim to is to help restore our client's financial issues back to acceptable terms or to agree an exit or repayment strategy.
As Relationship Manager you'll drive a repayment strategy with clients through a variety of options such as; re-finance, asset disposals, equity injection, whilst maintaining the quality and effectiveness of strategies to improve customer’s businesses and assets. corThis will be through effective management of the bank’s capital and RWAs and upside instrument deals. You will also ensure there’s an effective management of potential reputational issues.
To succeed as Relationship Manager you'd already have a proven track record within the re-structuring market and be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the needs of clients in a financially distressed stage. You'll have a strong focus on and be self motivated to achieve tangible results. Knowledge of insolvency procedures, use of interim / specialist support along with a sound understanding and ability to model / analyse financials will be a clear benefit.
