Relationship Manager, Business Banking recruitment
You will manage a portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts within the SME Sector so as to increase income contribution and overall market share by maximising wallet share from portfolio managed; increasing cross-sales and defending existing business. You also have to up-tier non-borrowing accounts to borrowing and to continually review quality of borrowing relationships managed so that bad debts are kept to minimum and profitability is maintained/enhanced.
Job Responsibilities
You will grow existing and new relationships with focus on increasing assets, liabilities and fee income; and contribute to providing highest level of customer service both internally and externally by
- identifying target customer segments and planning marketing and acquisition of incremental business and
- ensuring effective relationship management.
You will improve credit quality of portfolio to safeguard Bank from potential losses arising from bad debts; improve credit evaluation quality, work productivity and speed and quality of service by
- ensuring credit applications are high quality, risks are properly assessed and reviews timely,
- ensuring credit proposals and deals adhere to credit guidelines, audit and statutory compliance regulations and
- monitoring customers’ risk profile on an on-going basis and taking prompt remedial actions on weak accounts.
You will assist senior Relationship Managers in raising Bank’s profile in the domestic market by
- acting as alternate liaison for all relevant government agencies and business associations,
- providing input to all marketing and business development projects relating to the SME Sector both within and outside the Bank and
- actively promoting HSBC branding to existing/prospective customers by participation in business conferences organized by various Chambers of Commerce, Association of SMEs, etc.
Job Requirements
- Basic Degree with knowledge of the full range of corporate banking products and services; and at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to balance risk against return using commercial judgement and experience
- Ability to provide innovative solutions to lending problems and plan for overall balance sheet
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Cohesive team player with a positive "can-do" attitude
