This client is a leading, global, diversified financial services business providing products across banking, insurance, investments, and commercial finance. The Global Banking division provides targeted financial services to existing customers with international financial service needs. The focus is on delivering value to high quality institutional, corporate and Commercial Banking customers with cross-border financial needs.
The Global Banking Team is currently looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to establish the Australian Business in Sydney. The role will report in to Hong Kong and will be responsible for calling on the Australian subsidiaries of global customers as well as developing relationships with Australian corporate and institutional clients that have business operations globally. This role will suit someone with global banking experience and an established network throughout the Australian market, the role will provide career growth and the opportunity to build a team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Provide in-country support to Australian subsidiaries of global customers. Primary products will be credit.
* Develop and manage corporate banking relationships with Australian-headquartered corporates. Develop and implement strategic relationship plans for those customers.
* Manage the relationships with Australian Partner Banks to market lending solutions to clients and develop joint products/programs for benefit of the banks Australian customers.
* Work closely with the Area Manager to build the Global Banking business model in Asia.
* Provide input into the build out of regional capabilities (lending, FX, cash management, trade, investments) as they relate to the needs of subsidiaries of customers.
The successful candidate will have experience in a Relationship Manager role, managing large corporate and institutional clients. You will ideally have experience across a multinational portfolio and possess superior credit skills. Strong knowledge of the Australian banking landscape is essential.
