Relationship Manager, Global Fund Services recruitment

This role will effectively manage multiple relationships with clients across a number of products including custody, fund accounting and transfer agency services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our services and development of client relationships and revenues.

Knowledge/Skills

? Comprehensive understanding of Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency and Custody products. Investment Operations Outsource experience an advantage
? The candidate will ideally have worked extensively with investment management clients
? Extensive knowledge of the funds business and fund structures including OEICS, unit trusts and investment trusts
? Proven track record of Relationship Management and managing multiple relationships
? Previous exposure to and comfort with dealing with senior client management
? Ability to initiate and deliver change
? Extremely strong interpersonal skills
? Highly articulate with good communication skills
? Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficient
? Good networking contacts and abilities
? Methodical, measured and thoughtful
? Ability to present and motivate
? Excellent project management skills
? Flexibility to travel within the UK as required

Major Duties

? Establish ties with key decision-makers.
? Develop understanding of each client’s strategic goals and identify ways in which we can help them achieve their objectives to our mutual benefit.
? Provide leadership for client driven product development requirements.
? Ensure client satisfaction levels are maintained at a high level.
? Establish and maintain relationship plans.

In addition to the above, the Relationship Manager could act as the lead Relationship Manager of a virtual client team working closely with a local Client Relationship Manager’s to provide support and coordinate delivery to some of the larger strategic GFS relationships.

Working within the Relationship Management team:

Sales and Profitability Management
? Ensure long-term profitability of client relationships.
? Cross-selling of additional products and jurisdictions to existing clients.
? Pricing of new and additional business opportunities for existing clients.
? Conduct fee negotiations.

Risk Management
? Identify, document and manage client related risk issues.
? Effective negotiation of contracts.
? Manage service delivery with awareness of internal and external compliance requirement.
? Awareness of Product/Counterparty credit/Client credit risk.
? Ensure adherence and understanding of Northern Trust KYC/AML /TCF procedures

Client Service Management
? Work closely with counterparts from the operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery
? Monitor performance against agreed service level agreements.
? Ensure relevant key performance indicators are in place to measure performance and reported to client within agreed timetables.
? Actively participate in project’s covering client fund launches, mergers and closures, working closely with the various product teams.
