Relationship Manager – Platform Partner recruitment
Business Unit Information:
The private banking market unit within SEI seeks to partners with wealth advisory and wealth management firms to deliver services that enable the transformation of their business models.
The relationship management team is responsible for the management of the partnerships between SEI and it's client relationships, (forward thinking Independent Wealth Advisors, Private Banks and Private Client Investment Managers PCIMS) delivering SEI’s Global Wealth Services.
The GWS solution is a comprehensive set of services which includes the SEI Global Wealth Platform – (the client wealth management administration platform delivered with SEI’s operational services in an outsourced environment) and the SEI Asset Management Solutions the investment management services and client advice processes that enable wealth managers to meet client goals).
Key Objective of the Role:
- Maintain and grow a healthy partnership between SEI and its platform partners that enable the client to achieve their business goals for the services provided by SEI allowing SEI to build profitable/recommended relationships.
- Support the implementation of the GWS solution within the client’s business to achieve the client’s business change objectives and assures SEI is positioned to effectively deliver the agreed services.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales:
- Support the sales team in developing commitment by prospects for the GWS value proposition; specifically the implementation and ongoing relationship management model.
- Assist technical sales team with the ‘service discovery’ process where appropriate –Fund managers and tax wrapper providers, etc
Platform Partner/Client Implementation:
- Support the team in implementing the services within the client organisation in relation to fund managers and tax wrapper providers.
- Support processes for negotiation of new fund agreements and amendments
Relationship Management:
- Serve as platform partner advocate through regular, collaborative interactions with other SEI teams.
- Build and maintain ongoing commitment to the partnership and GWS value proposition within client and SEI Stakeholders including managing the legal process, tax wrapper providers, and Platform Clients
- Support the RD’s in managing the client experience by assuring appropriate resource alignment, effective delivery of services to SLA’s and ensure critical service delivery issues are escalated and resolved.
- Manage client and platform partner expectations for services delivery and GWS change activities.
- Evaluate platform partners usage of SEI services to ensure they are maximising benefits and the services are evolving to meet client needs.
- Partner with the GWS solutions team to understand, communicate and manage client business requirements for new or enhanced services.
- Oversight of operational process for rebates and MI for fund manager relationships
- Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, i.e. Funds Library
Leadership:
Recruit, motivate, manage and develop the team including:
- Assist with the review of individual/team performance against objectives set and help to coach/mentor individuals to develop skills.
Other :
- Keep Current – (market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc) and maintain ongoing and effective communication of these with clients where appropriate.
- Maintenance and updating of internal systems/ data reference points in agreed format to ensure consistency and communication of relevant information within the team and ensure integrity of data.
• Any other ad-hoc projects as required.

- Adhere to all relevant FSA requirements and compliance.
Technical Capabilities/Skills Experience Required for the Role:
- Ideally degree educated with extensive experience working within financial services. This would be preferably be within asset management, in a client facing role.
- The ability to pick up in-depth knowledge of SEI products and services/technical financial information and effectively communicate that to relevant clients/audiences.
- The ability to contribute strategically to plan and shape SEI’s platform and product offering.
- The ability to be credible in communications with senior personnel including board members.
- Highly developed presentation and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrate experience of influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
- A proven track record in client relationship management and project management coupled with experience handling and delivering multiple tasks and projects within tight delivery schedules.
- The ability to produce MI and accompanying reports.
- Proficient IT skills - all Microsoft office products and able to pick up other systems/databases easily.
