In 1972 they moved the firm to Antioch, Illinois. 1998 Jim and Carol sold their firm to their son, Clay Hamlin. In 2004, the firm opened an office in Gurnee, and in 2006, an office in Lake Zurich. The firm has nearly 50 employees serving more than 600 businesses and 2,500 individuals.

To serve our accounting clients, we developed a small business package, which, for one monthly fee, includes financial statement preparation, sales tax preparation, and consulting. We consult with our clients about their finances, accounting, business, taxes, and sometimes even their personal affairs. Many of our accounting competitors charge by the hour for these services. Our clients prefer a set fee for their accounting and business consulting.

Job Description

 

This opportunity is for a relationship manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of the client relationship, from billing and collecting, to preparing tax returns, to preparing or reviewing financial statements, to consulting with your clients, to managing the technical and relationship risks. Others will be doing much of the work in billing and collecting, preparing monthly financials, and sometimes tax preparation. You will personally handle much of the consulting and tax preparation. A manager with a full book of business is managing between 70 to 80 clients. It generally takes a new manager at least three years to build a full book of business. We expect you bring in some referrals, but our marketing department will generate much of your client business.
