About the department
Global Banking provides financial services to US Wells Fargo customers that have international business and European companies with business presence in the US.

Responsibilities
The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
•  Developing and managing banking relationships with high quality UK and other European corporate clients.
•  Develop and implement strategic relationship plans for those customers. Work with US offices to increase the Bank’s market share among US subsidiaries of parent companies head-quartered in the assigned territory.
•  Providing in-country support to subsidiaries of US customers operating in UK and other assigned European countries.
•  Completing major transactions for the most critical/complex clients.
•  Completing new credit reports, negotiating, and closing loan documentation.
•  Managing credit discussions with the Loan Team Manager and Loan Supervisor, as needed.    
•  Reviewing loan agreements, structuring/amending credit agreements.
•  Gathering and analyzing information relating to specific credit requests.
•  Being proactive in addressing prospective credit line expirations.
•  Working closely with the Area Manager to build the Global Banking business model in UK and the rest of Europe.
•  Developing a detailed understanding of the Bank’s current UK and other European countries’capabilities for bank clients. Communicate those capabilities to US-based relationship groups.
•  Providing input into the build out of regional capabilities (lending, FX, cash management, trade, investments) as they relate to the needs of subsidiaries of US customers.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
•  Ideally Degree educated or equivalent.
•  Demonstrable experience as a Relationship Manager with a major financial institution, including experience in the UK banking market.
•  Strong leadership and credit skills, with direct experience in analyzing complex companies with multinational operations.
•  Strong understanding of corporate banking products, services and credit structures.
•  Strong finance and accounting skills with familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
•  Ability to complete high quality credit reports without supervision.
•  Comfortable interacting with senior managers at client companies.
•  Solid credit underwriting experience preferably with multi-national corporations.     
•  Experience originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions with multinational corporate clients.     
•  Good understanding of treasury management, foreign exchange and trade products.
•  Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English.
