Job Description
Calypso Technology is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual on the Release Engineering team in our Paris, France office.
Release Engineering is the hub around which Engineering, Product Support, Product Management and Quality Assurance revolves for environments support, source code maintenance, continuous integration, project planning and release scheduling. Release Engineering believes in continuous improvement in tools and process to create a 24/7 support culture, and to provide innovative self-serve tools to our internal customers.
The ideal candidate is experienced in managing source control and CI solutions for java-based solutions for global companies. Knowledge of best practice in packaging java-based web solutions is desired. Strong communication skills in French English are critical as Calypso is a highly distributed organization. A customer-service personality and positive, “can-do” attitude are required.
This candidate will report into the Director of Engineering Operations, based in our San Francisco office and who reports into the SVP of Engineering.
Responsibilities:

Setup, manage, and upgrade source control systems (Subversion);

Maintain and improve Continuous Integration systems (Hudson/Jenkins) for multiple product lines;

Maintain enhance existing build system;
-
Setup and manage web start shared, multi-user QA environments;

Manage cloud-based infrastructure;
-
Document and maintain 3rd party library dependencies;
-
Maintain metadata and workflow in ticketing/code browsing tools (Jira Fisheye);

Increase transparency in the software development life cycle.
Skills Requirements:
-
3 years of experience developing and maintaining a structured release;
-
Engineering infrastructure;
-
3 years of Unix/shell scripting experience. Python is desired;

2 years of experience developing installation frameworks for server side;
-
Software across multiple platforms;
-
2 years of troubleshooting experience, with a talent for solving n-tierd;

Architecture configuration problems;
-
JVM and Server-side Java Application configuration and tuning experience;

Experience administering CVS Subversion;
-
Ant/Maven proficiency;
-
JaCoCo/Sonar experience is a plus;
- Java Web Start scheduling tools such as Control/M and Autosys.
