This role requires across the portfolio of Information Technology projects strong process and project management skills, coupled by a good general technology background and an excellent ability to communicate. The Release Management Executive will work closely with the project, development, environment, test and production teams to coordinate the functional and technical releases.
They will have the responsibility to provide high visibility updates (dashboard, report , etc) to the senior leadership team of the Bank, it is essential that the candidate has strong analytical skills and an ability to work autonomously under time pressure.
A good knowledge of the current Banking platform (Prospero and STB2) is a very strong plus to be quickly successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manager of the Release calendar and the release progress
- Gatekeeper of the Release scope
- Ownership of the release process improvement, management of the release process.
- Facilitator for the release scope definition
- Follow up on the release progress status and provision of management reporting
- Alignment of the European Release management tools portfolio.
- Owner of the Post Mortem of the release process and remediation plan
- Single point of contact for the issues related to the release process , liaison with the business
Requirements
Merrill Lynch Bank of America is a fast moving environment which requires rapid responses and is bounded by tight deadlines. The following experience and personal attributes are required:
- Degree educated in Computer Science Engineering required
- A first experience in a similar position within an international private bank
- Change or Project management experience in large and distributed IT organisation
- Experience of banking applications and transaction processing systems (Prospero STB2)
- Good technology skills: SQL essential. Oracle PL/SQL preferred
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools preferred
- Fluency in English is absolutely required and fluency in French is preferred
